We have limited them to a photo, website, email address, phone number and short statement. We have not edited any of the content on the statements, and have not endorsed the content of any candidate's websites.

Barry was elected to the School Board in 2004 and served as its Chairman for 2006-2007. He serves on the Board of Directors for several organizations serving the youth of Seminole County, including Kid's House, The Grove Counseling Center and the Children's Cabinet. Barry earned his MBA at Carnegie-Mellon University. He and his wife, Lynn, are actively involved with Northland Church.

Sylvia has served as an educator in Seminole County for almost thirty years. She attended UCF and earned a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Business Education. Leadership experience includes member of the Longwood Rotary, Seminole Chamber of Commerce and service on the Education Committee. Sylvia is a member of First Baptist Longwood and serves as an usher and sings with the Praise Team.

Since being appointed to the board in 2007, I have played an integral role in keeping with the District's purpose. In May, I resigned my position at the Orlando Sentinel in order to accept an appointment to this board.
